Foot Sweep From The Clinch

November 17th, 2010 | Posted by CrossMMAFitter in Wrestling For Fighting

When you clinch your opponent and secure a dominant position such as the underhook, you can use the foot sweep technique to take your opponent down. Start by circling around your opponent while pulling on his body with your underhook. Most of the time, your opponent will be forced to step with his rear foot which makes it very easy for you to sweep his foot our from the underneath as it comes around. If your attempt fails, you can always target your opponent’s shin. This is a low-risk technique and it works well in MMA.
