August 10th, 2010 | Posted by in Boxing TechniquesDrawing is the opposite for feinting. You expose defensive flaw to tempt your opponent to attack. In feinting you use a false offensive to bait your opponent out of position. In drawing you expose defensive flaws that will tempt him to attack. By leaving the head or body unprotected you lure your opponent into action and come to you.
Using both feinting and drawing, you can teach you opponent what you want him to expect. Afterwards, you can surprise him by a different strategy.
Drawing skills:
- Move your head forward few inches to draw a jab , slip outside and return a cross
- Use the head to invite the jab, slip outside and return a lead hook
- Lower your the lead hand to invite a cross, catch it when it’s fired and return a lead hook
- Lower the lead hand to invite a cross , catch it and fire a lead uppercut.
- Invite a cross, slip inside and deliver a lead hook body, cross head, lead hook head
- Raise the lead hand to invite a cross to the body , drop the lead elbow to block and jab head
- Raise the lead hand to invite a cross to the body, drop the elbow to defend and cross head
- Draw a lead hook by lowering your rear hand, move inside his hook and lead hook head
- Draw a lead hook, move inside and lead uppercut head
- Draw a lead hook, move inside, lead shovel hook
