Corkscrew Straight
August 9th, 2010 | Posted by in Corkscrew straightCorkscrew straight is a punch fired exactly as a jab or cross, but upon impact, the fist should be twisted 180 degrees.
The final twist comes from the shoulder – not the elbow or wrist. Compared to the standard jab and cross, the corkscrew punch fist is twisted until the thumb is facing downward. The punch is primarily used to inflict or exacerbate a cut.
Corkscrew punch should not be used as a body shot.
