Left Uppercut

From the guard position, dip the left shoulder so that your elbow nears your hip. At the same time rotate the fist palm up. Without cocking the arm back or winding up, propel this punch with the left side of your body. Accelerate, SNAP and recover.
The right uppercut is the mirror image of the left.
Uppercuts are inside fighting weapons. The jaw is the primary target of high uppercuts. Always throw uppercuts behind jabs as they are dangerous to lead with. While throwing the uppercut, it is advisable to move to the outside to diminish your opponent’s defensive and counter punching opportunities.
