Cashew Nuts
June 3rd, 2010 | Posted by in 8 Nuts, Seeds & OilsCashew Nuts contain less fat than all other nuts and could be used as ideal snack. Much of the fat is mono unsaturated oleic acid ( the type found in olive oil) which has health benefits, including protection from heart and arterial disease.
Cashew nuts are rich in important minerals, including magnesium for strong bones and heart health, immune boosting zinc and iron for healthy blood and energy.
The same as other nuts, cashew nuts are linked with protection from cardiovascular disease.
Cashew is a good source of B vitamin for brain power.
Commercially roasted cashew nuts lose their unsaturated oils which are oxidized at high temperature. Instead, roast raw cashew nuts in a low-heat oven for 20 minutes.
