Coriander

The leaves contain the compounds dodecenal which is as twice as effective in killing salmonella bacteria as some antibiotics. Coriander is also known for lowering ‘bad’ cholesterol and increasing ‘good’ cholesterol.
Coriander is a good source of several nutrients, including potassium and calcium, and contains high level of lutein and zeaxanthin, which help protect out eyes and eyesight.
Coriander regulates blood sugars and therefore may help diabetics and people who are insulin resistant.
Use fresh coriander as it loses most of its aroma and flavour when dried.
