1 kilogram calorie or Kcalorie is the unit of heat produced by food which is equal  to the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one kilogram of water  by 1 degree centigrade at atmospheric pressure.

1 gram calorie  is the unit of heat  produced by food which is s equal  to the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one gram of water  by  1 degree centigrade at atmospheric pressure.
