Figs are a great source of several minerals and vitamin B6. Dried figs are a concentrated source of potassium and are rich in calcium, magnesium and iron.
Figs contain sterols, which help lower blood cholesterol. Dried figs is an excellent source of iron, for healthy blood and calcium, for bone density
Fresh figs should be eaten quickly the day they are bought or picked
Figs a good source of natural energy and sugars, but they are high in calories, so are best eaten in moderation.
